JWI helps Kurt Weiche Memorial with print design
October 26th, 2009 - by Jeff Wagner
The 10 year anniversary of the Kurt Weiche Memorial Scholarship Fund was this past Friday night and Jeff Wagner Interactive was honored to help with the print design of the long sleeve shirt for the event. Everyone who was in attendance received the 10 year memorial shirt.
This was my 4th year of attending the event and year after year it just gets bigger and better. The event was created by Aaron (right) and Ryan (left) Weiche in honor of their father, Kurt Weiche, who past away in 1999.
Kurt participated in Buffalo sports for many, many years as the voice of KRWC high school sports. As an active community member Kurt was on numerous boards, committees, volunteer groups and organizations ranging from Little League to Buffalo Days to Children’s Charities.
The event helps raise money for area high school scholarships, to reward students looking to further their education.
More than 140 people attended the event this year at River City Extreme in Monticello, MN. The bowling facility absolutely rocks. Along with 40+ lanes of bowling they have a full bar & grill, arcade and private party lanes.
As an added bonus the Domino’s Noid made an appearance at the event. Among the many pictures he/she took with participants the Noid even rolled a few frames and showed off some mad bowling skills.
If you’d like to learn more about the event make sure to visit the Kurt Weiche Memorial website. If you want to support a great event come out and join the fun next year, I guarantee you’ll have a blast.
